I want a ‘Happy Life’

I want a ‘Happy Life’

Our life’s journey begins when we are born and ends with death (we think of death as something that happens to others not for ourselves) and time/ life span we get is a big mystery. Making our life journey 'happy' every single day is worthwhile and this is my thought for writing this blog post. As an astrologer, I get a chance to meet so many people and my personal observation is that today we are so lost in our wants and desires that we forget to enjoy and smile each day. Seems strange to say, but most of us miss out on half (or maybe all) the fun in life that way. On this planet earth, there are so many places to see, so much luxury to enjoy, so many beautiful things to buy, but we are lost in our personal miseries.

There are and will be some worries in life.

Today, everyone wants to be rich, powerful and successful..... true enough for who wants to be poor, suffer ill health, etc etc but is THAT a reality? For all the people you see in your everyday life from a distance, you may think they had everything going for them except for me. Up close (as an astrologer I do get a chance), you may see the cracks in that facade.
Is it really possible to be successful, happy or healthy, ALWAYS in life? There are and will be some worries in life. So, why do we want something that hasn’t happened ever to anyone and is not a reality, instead why not enjoy and celebrate LIFE. Isn’t our ‘wants’ a kind of earthly prison stopping us from enjoying what we have now in life?

You may say:- Should I not have ambitions?
I am not saying that we should not be ambitious, so please do not confuse ambition with wants. Despite the struggles that we face every day in life, I would say, never give up on your ambition but do not expect it to be easy and following our ambition and encountering problems in the way should not stop us from being happy, right?
Why is doing it the right way important? (The karma, I mean)
Unless we change the way we think and perform our karma, can we be happy in life? Life is not meant to be easy, and all the difficulties and problems that we face in life are never a waste of time, if we learn and grow from them. Okay, you may believe what I am writing here is very bookish and not true, but if you consciously and mindfully make observations in life then you may agree.
There is no shortcut to anywhere worth going. Short cuts and taking easy way out never can bring happiness in life. However to be happy, we need to work towards something that brings meaning to each moment of our lives. The thing is that shortcut somehow manages to look like the easier path and, of course, the direct path, is very scary looking with lot of work involved, risk, and even the potential of failure. This contrast entices us to try the shortcut. Every once in a great while, it will work for you, but you will usually end up regretting it, if you do not believe me try it!! Or better still you may reflect on your past and may identify the truth in this…. I hope so -J
Why there are so many struggles in life?
Every struggle arises for a reason and prepares ordinary people for extraordinary success, whether it’s as simple as taking a job or as complex of being the victim of some injustice. The discomfort, uncertainty, vulnerability, pain and frustration, among other often unpleasant feelings that we experience create lasting change and growth in our lives.
Why should I think about this nonsense today?
Okay, I am writing this blog post but why should you read about this philosophical blog and be bored to death?
One day our life will flash before our eyes.  So let’s do our best every day to make sure it’s worth watching. The biggest regret one day could be missing out on life!
Read biographies about famous personalities you admire and none would say they had it easy. As long as we don’t stop we are capable of achieving extraordinary growth and having extraordinary impact with our lives. Yes, it will take time and take consistent effort and may require many efforts and sacrifices too. So let’s celebrate: -
the frustration, the uncertainty, the anxiety, all this that we feel today and recognize for what it really is: a sure sign that we are moving forward.
Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm. – Winston Churchill
