DATE WITH FATE

Whenever we do any work (karma) there are, only and only two, possible outcomes--Success or failure--and the best part is that this possible outcome is not in our hand. No matter how hard, persistent and sincere our efforts are, we cannot control or guarantee or predict the outcome. Outcome or result is never in our hands, you may call it destiny, past karmas or chance (for non-believers). Let me explain this with an example—a child sits for his exams, his parents and teachers do their best in guiding and providing the necessary support and the child also works hard but if he still gets low grade/score, then what do you call it? Without hurting anybody’s sensitivity, I would say we are like gamblers in Casinos. When we are on a roll, we strike rich and when we are losing ‘Murphy’s law’ applies on us, we face problems not from one but from many sides. Anyway, what I am getting at is this -‘the outcome’, it is not in our hand so why should we be ashamed/dismayed/angry/disappointed/sad (you can add any negative emotion to this list) when we fail to get desired results? Let’s just smile like a gambler in casino and move on and probably wait for the next time. The life comes with a big lesson ‘do Good Karma and enjoy your Time period on this earth’ for you may speculate but shall never know what lays beyond……
