Luck Versus Hard Work

Luck Versus Hard work
Being an astrologer, I have discovered that destiny plays a far larger role in life outcomes than most people realize but then you may say my views are biased!!!
Generally speaking, successful people really don’t like to explain away their success to destiny or luck. Read or watch television interviews of successful and wealthy people, you may observe most of them attribute their success to hard work rather than to factors like luck or destiny. Do you think a successful and talented person would appreciate destiny or good luck in the knowledge that they were lucky for they were not to have been born in, say, war-torn country? Being born in a favorable environment is an enormous stroke of luck and this stands true even for those who are self-made but there is a tendency to overlook destiny or luck’s importance. I believe, destiny or luck is one of the most underappreciated factors in life.
Can you say with certainty that the hardest working people you ever met in your life were---Successful? Answer your question with sincerity.
People who work as daily wagers for instance as constructors, cleaners and so many more like them, work every day, from dawn to dusk, for very little money, than any CEO. In our lives, we must have seen same amount of hard work but different course of life happens with so many people and what do we attribute this disparity???? We all owe a great deal to luck/destiny and certainly more than to hard work.
Of course, there is dark side to this belief that only destiny and luck works.  As per Hindu scriptures, destiny is only the result of a sum total of one's own karma. To enhance your chances or probability you need to do karma.
Now, the next question comes to mind--How important is it to reflect upon your success as part of luck or hard work? Success is success so what’s the relevance whether it is acquired through ‘hard work’ or simply being ‘lucky’?
Research studies indicate that when people think of their success as good fortune (luck/destiny!), they become much more willing to contribute to the common good, more generous, charitable, spiritual, humble and public spirited. It is good to take pride in your success but gratitude towards something greater over and above ALL of us brings humility.
